Our Passover Lamb

During this 2020 world upheaval, we can look to the Cross, specifically the blood Jesus shed on the Cross, as our bedrock. The Old Testament was a forecast to this.
Exodus 12:13-14
God asked His people to celebrate. Celebrate His merciful act of saving those who put the blood of the unblemished Lamb over the door of their house and then ate that very Lamb. Exodus 12:5,7 Today, we also remember and eat a meal (Communion). We celebrate the merciful act of God who saves us as we call on the Name of the Lord. Acts 2:21
Thankfully, he who comes to steal, kill, and destroy is overcome by the blood of the Lamb. This is true in both the Old and the New Testament.
Exodus 12:23
..when He sees the blood on the top of the doorframe and the two side posts, then the LORD will pass over the door, and He will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you.
Revelation 12:11
they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
Much like today’s STAY HOME requirement, the people of God we’re asked to stay home.
Exodus 12:22
Take a bundle of hyssop branches and dip it into the blood. Brush the hyssop across the top and sides of the doorframes of your houses. And no one may go out through the door until morning.
As you STAY HOME, think about the shed blood of Jesus. Take Communion. Be an overcomer by speaking what our Father says. And be at peace!
Colossians 1:20
Through Jesus God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no |
plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you |
shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance. |
